The Consumption of junk food and vitamin water drinks are contributing to the rising rates of obesity in the world.

In the current advanced scientific age increasing rate of overweight children, men and adults is a worldwide health issue. Obesity is a major problem which is increasing rapidly among people across the world. According to doctors obesity is more common in women than men. Obesity gives birth to various diseases like heart disease, diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, and high blood pressure.
In the developing world urbanization is playing a role in increasing rate of obesity. People are not taking sufficient exercise due to growing use of mechanized transportation and a greater prevalence of labor-saving technology at homes.
In addition to that consumption of junk food like burgers, pizzas, noodles and sweetened drinks such as soft drinks, fruit drinks, iced tea, energy and vitamin water drinks are contributing to the rising rates of obesity in the world. Moreover excessive use of medications may cause weight gain or changes in body composition; these include insulin, steroids, and some forms of hormonal contraception. In the modern world obesity is increasing among children and adults due to watching television for a long time.
Medical experts are of the views that among every ten persons one will be the patient of obesity after ten years. From 1975 to 2016 obesity among young have risen to 40%. In 2014, 641 million people out of 5 billion were suffering from obesity. This figure will go to 1.1 billion in 2025. According to deputy director of Pakistan institute of Medical Sciences growing rate of obesity among children and adults is due to having junk food and avoiding proper exercise.
This disease can be controlled by avoiding junk foods and fizzy drinks and having proper diet like milk, juice and fruits. Medications may be taken, along with a suitable diet, to reduce appetite or decrease
fat absorption. In short proper diet, exercise, and medication can save people from this worldwide health issue.
